Sunday school children are taught from the King James Version of the Bible
and from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.
The first lessons include the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount.
Older classes explore the truths found in the weekly Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons.
Together with their teachers they explore how to know God,
and to apply Christian Science to their daily living.
You may never be asked to step into that fiery furnace or challenge the biggest guy you’ve ever seen to a one-on-one, but studying the Bible is like weight training. It is a means to an end. You don’t lift weights so that you will be prepared in case someone lays a barbell across your chest. You lift weights so that you can breakthrough the defensive line, or lift your groceries or chop wood or lift the child you are babysitting.
You study the Bible so that you can identify voices and choices and real messages that are being sent to you every day. Sunday School is learning the practice of making right decisions in your life on the basis of reliance on the higher law of good. You can use the stories in the Bible to learn how to be happy and healthy and helpful.
Child Care is provided in the Children's Room for children under the age
of three on Sundays and under the age of seven on Wednesdays.
