After E. Mary Ramsay met Mary Baker Eddy in 1899, she returned to her native Scotland, where she began to heal others through the system taught in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Originally written in 1923 at the request of an Edinburgh publisher preparing a series on religious and philosophical movements, Ramsay's book covers events throughout Mrs. Eddy's life. It was revised in 1935, and additional footnotes were added in 1998.
